Today and yesterday felt like spring! I (Wendy) am pretty excited. Because it means I can enjoy warm walks outside, see some grass and flowers coming up and not have to dress the little children in a full wardrobe of clothing each day in order to go outside.
Yesterday Brian and I took off on a walk. We wandered to one of many war memorials in town. We tried out a few of the gunning machines, but decided we'd stick with our present profession.
Then we wandered the banks of the Volga River and contemplated jumping in for a swim. Fact of the day, the Volga River is the longest river in Europe, flowing through central Russia. This walkway (see picture below) was just finished a few months ago and is a nice place to walk.
Almost all big cities have them; a place to leave a lock when you get married. Put your lock here and you will be married forever.
As you can see, the snow is melting. And when the sun comes out, it melts fast. I am pretty excited about that fact! Just feeling a temperature of 40 outside is a wonderful feeling!
