Costa Rica!
Our friends, the Ewings from Alaska were taking a trip to Costa Rica for some dental work. About a month ago, I calmly asked Brian if we could go to. And he said, "sure, why not?" We purchased two tickets (Norah is still free until she is two, well, almost free) and started planning our trip.
We arrived on October 26 in the evening. It was so nice to see Brian and Lisa and their son, Nathaniel. And we got to meet Lisa's brother, Sean also. We spent our first night and got up the next day for a long drive to the Pacific Coast.
First stop along the way: Coffee. For all those junkies out there who think they need it. But, we did get to see some cool coffee plants.

Below: after a bit in the car, we jumped out at a popular crocodile destination. Lucky for us, all we did was stand on a bridge and look down. I don't really want to be on the same surface as these guys.
This was the only place we saw crocodiles thankfully.
Our van in the distance. We drove up to a volcano but it was way to cloudy to see anything, so down the mountain we headed. And when I say mountain, I mean it! We were at least 10000 in elevation. And down our brakes got a little hot, so we had to stop for a break.
Our drive ended us in Quepos, Costa Rica. We stayed up on a hill in the middle of the jungle in three chalets. It was a beautiful surrounding for a vacation. Each chalet had a huge porch with a nice hammock. See the below picture.

More to come about our Costa Rica trip...
