Half Marathon

Brian's first half-marathon. Yes, he has run a few ultra marathons and even a 24 hour race...but never a half. Last Sunday, he did just that!

Here he is at the finish line! 1 hour and 45 minutes of hard running. On his birthday even. Happy 29th Brian! Norah and I are proud of you!

Calvin and Norah

My best friend, Sarah, was pregnant the same time I was. She was due a week after me. But, because Norah wanted to stew a bit longer than her due date, Calvin came first. Born on Sept 26th, he is a week and a day older than Norah. 

Here is their first meeting. Calvin 2 1/2 weeks old and Norah 1 1/2 weeks. Not too exciting yet!

Second meeting was a bit more eventful. Here they are again! Calvin 10 1/2 weeks, Norah 9 1/2 weeks.

Today we got together again to celebrate our friend's birthday, Darla.

They are growing! Bigger and bigger!

Calvin is now 16 1/2 weeks old and Norah 15 1/2 weeks old. Almost four months old!

 Soon they will start playing together. For now they just stare back at us, wondering, "what are they doing staring at us like that?"

Back to Work

I (Wendy) go back to work tomorrow. I've had a delightful 14 weeks off. That means Norah is 14 weeks old! Wow, where did the time go?? 

I won't lie, it wasn't all delightful. There were hard days, tired days, crabby days, boring days. But, being with Norah and watching her has been the most delightful and wonderful experience for both Brian and I. She is so much fun to be with. Her laughs and smiles, cooing, blowing bubbles with her spit, and sweet disposition. 

While at work a variety of people will care for Norah. Brian will hang out with her on Monday's and Tuesday's. My mom (see above) will do Saturdays and then anyone else who is around and available (Grandma Karen) will be more than welcome to spend time with Norah. 

Hopefully I can snag a part time position sometime soon so I only have to work two days a week. That would make me happy.
