A Hidden Wonder

We made it to Hallstatt, Austria! Thanks to Dan and Sarah Stuart, I know about this place and planned a visit. It was a wonderful, relaxing visit to a village of 900.

Below is the view from our window at our guesthouse. Definitely the best view!

First day? A hike of course. We planned to hike up the mountains, hike to a glacier, and then hike down.

A new favorite plant/flower of mine. I have named it a Twizle. Not sure what the real name is.

We hiked, and hiked and hiked! Didn't quite make it to the glacier sadly. Hiking up 5000 feet in elevation takes time...too much time. But we did find another small herd of cows. They were really curious about us as we tried to eat our lunch.

It was a long and fun day! Nine hours later and we made it back to Hallstatt.
