Romantic Rovinj

After the Gladiator experience, we drove to this little lovely town. Rovinj, popular tourist destination and active fishing port still. Like many other parts of Istria (the peninsula) it was under Italian rule from 1283-1800.

We wandered the narrow streets once again in search of the tower to climb.

And we found the church and tower. Church of St. Euphemia, restored between 1725-1736.

The bell tower, started in 1651. Our next hike!

The stairs were solid, but kind of scary. It was a narrow step for a foot and there was a little bit of a gap to possibly fall through. Lucky for us, we didn't slip. And up we went for a great view of the city and area.

We continued to enjoy the city and streets after our climb up the tower.

Would you like your back door to go to the sea? These people have that.
It was another awesome town to enjoy.
