Alpine Adventures

Here in Lake Bohinj, we decided to go up the cable car to do some alpine exploring. The cable car takes you to 1,575 meters (4,600 ft) and then you must walk wherever you want to go. We started at about 8 o'clock, which turned out to be too early because as you can see the clouds were hanging low.
This cable car was super steep and the attendant who worked in the cable car said that they don't let you work for longer than 5 years at this job because the sudden pressure differences can have long term effects.
Some hot chocolates while waiting for the clouds to clear. We sat in the lodge for about 1.5 hrs then decided to just go for a walk.
On our way up the mountain, we heard a great bell sound, which in the alpine means cows are close. They were just hanging out grazing and were very tame and let us pet them.
Just to give you an idea of how cloudy it was, we couldn't really see anything. However like the determined hikers we were, we continued on up the mountain with the hopes it would clear.
Alas!!! Our patience (or stubbornness) paid off and we were met by a flock of grazing mountain sheep. Like the cows, they were super cute and super tame.
I even received a goodbye kiss from this fella. After he kissed me he turned around and started drinking the pee of another sheep. So what does that say for me? A sincere kiss or a flock prank at my expense?
Once we dropped below the cloud cover, we were rewarded with this cute little view. It seems every town in Slovenia tries to "out cute" the other town. The beauty here is causing some serious health problems for Wendy.
